Who Am I?  Who are any of us?

 

Yoga practices have served as a cornerstone of my own healing in this life, on many levels.  Ironically, due to some widespread misconceptions about yoga… I had no interest in it for quite some time!  Eventually I learned that many of the spiritual, energetic, alchemic, dietary, health, fitness, etc. practices that I was drawn to… were ALL YOGA!  I am passionate about continuing to learn and develop, and am pleased to be able to guide others along their journey of self-exploration, healing and development. 

 

I have studied some things, and done some stuff. I am a serial entrepreneur working in various worlds, industries, trades & healing modalities.  I love freedom, travel, health & fitness, nature, and peeling back layers of illusion one synchronicity at a time.  I'm here to help others heal, unveil their true nature, and incorporate the 8 limbs of yoga and other alchemical disciplines into their daily lives. 

 

Like many healers, my personal experience with a “chronic illness” (childhood vaccine injury) has led me to quite a path of learning about healing modalities, nutrition, etc.  As a lifelong obsessive learner; I have dabbled in many things which have all led me to the study of yoga.  These include psychology, fitness, nutrition, medicine, healing, herbalism, Ayurveda, marketing, languages, neuro-linguistics, psychology, hypnotism, resonance modalities (energy, frequency, isochronic) Zen, meditation and various religious traditions.  After meditating for some years… I began asana with the 5 Tibetan Rites -not even realizing that this was "yoga".  This led to studying more asana and kriya lineages including Toltec, Usui Reiki, Qi Gong, Drunvalo Melchizedek, Babaji, Yogananda, Isha, Jois & Iyengar.  2021-2023 I worked with Elevate Akron.  In 2023 I completed my CYT200 certification with Kevin Karas, and here we are!  Kevin's program offered extraordinary classical training compared to some others.

GUIDED YOGA PRACTICES: The science of yoga is designed to provide a foundation of health and healing, on all levels of our being.  I love guiding people in developing their own personal yoga practices, and to help them remember who they are.  Many nuances can be very helpful when presented at the right time.  Physical stretching and the interplay of breath, prana, muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, fascia, bones thought and emotion are a great starting point.  The human body is a magnificent instrument, with great potential.  It’s empowering to limber up the rusty rabbit-ear antennas of our physical bodies, to tune our receivers to greater things!  Yogic practices also work with the granthis (energetic "knots" or blocks) and samskaras (unconscious mental/emotional/karmic habits).

 

Some Guided Yoga Practice themes:

  • Vinyasa asana -synchronizing breath and movement, aligning the koshas

  • Raja/Ashtanga -incorporating the 8 limbs of yoga (sutras) into our daily lives

  • Yamas and Niyamas:  the "10 commandments" of yoga

  • Pranayama -cleansing, untangling and tuning our energy bodies

  • Sthira & Sukham -balancing Strength/Stability with Ease/Grace in our lives

  • The 3 gunas:  tapas, rajas & sattva

  • The 3 koshas:  vata, pitta, kapha

  • Nutrition:  life and death

  • Agni & Jala -exploring the 5 Elements, "dualities" and Spiritual Alchemy

  • Meditation:  pratyahara, dhyana, dharana

  • Merkaba Meditation:  activating Your Light Body

  • A Pattern of Pattern-Interrupt:  discipline is Freedom!

  • Other tools -mantra, yantra, hasta mudras, kriyas, saucha
